A wizard in a stiff jacket casts a diagnostic at the foot of the hovering tower, strands of blue light forming a map of its internal structure. They cross-reference a schematic, and let out a sigh. “Looks like the upper substrate’s almost spent; we’ll have to stop by Emman’s before the next trip out.”

“Maybe one of the hammers still isn’t seating properly?” offers their partner. She drops her bag, and pulls on a pair of long gloves. “Either that, or it’s the meta-fluids.”

There Is Always Dust is a worldbuilding game, in which players tell stories about arcane engineers and technicians who maintain a network of strange towers dotted across the landscape. Their work is often dirty and sometimes dangerous, equal parts mechanical and magical. The towers are important infrastructure, but resources are thin on the ground; the technicians do their best to keep the network operational.

Played this to supplement worldbuilding in a Dungeon World campaign! Had a good time and it added some fun elements to our world.
